Origins

My art is a vibrant tapestry of colors and essential elements like lines and shapes, meticulously woven into a figurative masterpiece. Each piece unravels a boundless matrix of introspection, a journey deep within my soul.

At its heart, this artwork is a profound testimony to my transformation, embodied in the ancient Sumerian deity, Lamassu, whose powerful presence graces my creative endeavor. Through this creative pursuit, I pour my personal experiences onto the canvas, breaking free from the cultural chains that once confined my self-expression. Hailing from Iraq, a cradle of civilization, I've endured the heavy burden of unjust stereotypes that cast a long, dark shadow over my life, not to mention, my profound thinking and deep connection to art and design.

The struggle to bridge the gap between my first language, Arabic, and English in both communication and creative expression has often weighed me down, but my unwavering resolve remains to reveal the concealed beauty and profound complexity that lie beneath these challenges.

To me, it signifies a pioneering milestone in my journey in art and design. It's a pathway etched with raw emotion, transcending labels like 'Iraqi-American,' as I choose to embrace my original identity as human being on a quest for self-discover, expression and understanding bound by a universal language of creativity and compassion.
